Back to School Kickoff

It was important to not only give away bookbags loaded with school supplies, but also include health screenings, great kids activities and information for parents - all at no cost as 35+ vendors supported this initiative.

Thanks to all!

Hands On Henry

The Annual Memorial Cemetery Clean Up was held despite the rain. Local girls scouts, citizens and our own Main Street Manager came out to make this event a huge success.

Candlelight Prayer Vigil

Following the tradgedy in Charleston, South Carolina,  Alphonso Thomas in parternship with Global Impact Christian Ministries reached out to the Stockbridge and local inter-faith community to organize a candlelight prayer vigil for peace and prayer for our community and the nation. Alphonso is a PROVEN LEADER when the Community needs healing.

Community Health Fair

It was an honor to support M4 Graphics as they hosted a free Community Health Fair in Stockbridge. The event provided free health screenings to Henry County residents. Coming together to do great things for our fellow neighbors; that's what Community looks like.

Memorial March & Veterans Day Parade

Yes, the Memorial March and Veterans Day Parade are back! It is important to honor, recognize and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The salute by all of the soldiers on hand at Memorial Cemetery, the placing of the markers by the Stockbridge JROTC, and the playing of Taps really makes this annual tribute very special. And also, honoring our Veterans with a parade and luncheon on Veterans Day. It was important to bring both of these events back to the City of Stockbridge and we appreciate and honor our heroes of the Armed Services.

Community African-American Celebration

The 2015 celebration featured the presentation of the Unsung Hero awards, where local churches and orgainzations nominated a member for their service to the Stockbridge Community. Thomas also awarded Community Service,  Humanitarian, Stockbridge Footprint and Leadership awards to individuals serving the Stockbridge Community. Special Thanks to Reverend Tucker and Red Oak UMC for partnerning with this event.

The celebration continued in 2016 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Special Thanks to Pastor Terrance Gattis for partnering with this event for the Stockbridge community.
